i'm ms. sergonis...

i suppose i should give you a bit of background...

i realized i own way too many books while moving. art history books are especially heavy.

i have too many art supplies and no place to put them.

i also own too many clothes that are ruined with paint.

i just came back from greece.

i also went to chicago, chicago is not nearly as fabulous as nyc.

i still love burritos, johnny depp, and lime green. some of my new obsessions include james dean, black and white, and vegetarian indian restaurants.

my new travel obsession is central/south america and i am still bitter about the fact that i was not able to see the pyramids or visit turkey this summer.

i like my coffee black with sugar.

and i am really into the new rilo kiley album.

Society takes what it wants. The artist himself does not count, because there is no actual existence for the work of art. The work of art is always based on the two poles of the onlooker and the maker, and the spark that comes from the bipolar action gives birth to something - like electricity. But the onlooker has the last word, and it is always posterity that makes the masterpiece. The artist should not concern himself with this, because it has nothing to do with him.

- Marcel Duchamp
